CVSS v3.1 |
| Asterisk is an open source private branch exchange and telephony toolkit. Prior to Asterisk 20.20.1, 21.12.3, 22.10.1, 23.4.1 and Certified Asterisk 20.7-cert11, 22.8-cert3, a stack buffer overflow in the H.323 `ooTrace()` trace-logging function can occur when unbounded `vsprintf` writes into a fixed `2048-byte buffer`. A remote attacker may send a carefully crafted packet that causes the Asterisk process to crash. The `chan_ooh323` addon channel driver must be explicitly compiled and installed, which is not the default, and its port must be publicly reachable. This issue is fixed in Asterisk 20.20.1, 21.12.3, 22.10.1, 23.4.1 and Certified Asterisk 20.7-cert11, 22.8-cert3. |
| Asterisk is an open source private branch exchange and telephony toolkit. Prior to Asterisk 20.20.1, 21.12.3, 22.10.1, 23.4.1 and Certified Asterisk 20.7-cert11, 22.8-cert3, an authenticated attacker may cause a stack buffer overflow in `res_xmpp` `XMPP namespace prefix` handling using carefully crafted packets. The `res_xmpp` module must be loaded, an XMPP connection must be configured in `xmpp.conf`, and the attacker must have an XMPP account on the same or a federated server. This issue is fixed in Asterisk 20.20.1, 21.12.3, 22.10.1, 23.4.1 and Certified Asterisk 20.7-cert11, 22.8-cert3. |
| A flaw was found in GStreamer's gst-plugins-bad H.266/VVC parser. When processing a malformed H.266 media file or stream, an integer overflow while parsing profile, tier, and level fields can lead to a stack-based buffer overflow. An attacker could cause an application to crash and may be able to execute code in the context of the affected application. |
| A buffer overflow vulnerability in the Brotli decoder (c/dec/decode.c) in Google Brotli versions 1.0.3 through 1.2.0 on all platforms allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to corrupt adjacent decoder state memory, disclose sensitive memory contents, cause a denial of service, or potentially execute arbitrary code using a crafted Brotli-compressed stream.
Users need to update any Brotli libraries or binaries between 1.0.3 through 1.2.0 to the latest available version: 1.0.10 or 1.1.1 or 1.2.1. |
| A flaw was found in QEMU. The VAPIC setup hypercall in hw/i386/vapic.c does not validate that the writable RAM alias remains within the option ROM window. A privileged guest user on a Q35/KVM machine can position this alias over locked SMRAM, bypassing chipset D_LCK protection and injecting code into System Management Mode memory. |
| Stack-based buffer overflow and out-of-bounds
write vulnerability in Thales Sentinel Keys Server on Windows allows Overflow
Buffers.
Sentinel Keys Server does not check the length of the first field in
the input message. A local attacker may craft an input and send it to Sentinel
Keys Server. It may lead to code execution as NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM enabling
local privilege escalation.
This issue affects Sentinel Keys Server: versions
lower than 1.3.8.0. |
| SQLite before 3.54.0 built with FTS5 contains a heap buffer overflow in fts5MergeRowidLists() that undersizes the output buffer when merging detail=none prefix doclists. Attackers who can populate a detail=none FTS5 table with negative rowids and run a prefix MATCH query can write past the allocation, corrupting heap memory and crashing the process. |
| A memory corruption vulnerability exists in the vtkBMPReader ExecuteDataWithInformation functionality of vtk (version(s): 9.6.1). A specially crafted .bmp file can lead to a buffer overflow. An attacker can provide a malicious file to trigger this vulnerability. |
| A memory corruption vulnerability exists in the vtkDEMReader ReadProfiles functionality of vtk (version(s): 9.6.1). A specially crafted USGS DEM can lead to a buffer overflow. An attacker can provide a malicious file to trigger this vulnerability. |
| OpenJPEG 2.4.0 through 2.5.4, and git master through commit 8314119b, contains an out-of-bounds read and write in opj_dwt_encode_and_deinterleave_v() in src/lib/openjp2/dwt.c. This allows an attacker to cause a denial of service. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
HID: wacom: Fix OOB write in wacom_hid_set_device_mode()
wacom_hid_set_device_mode() currently assumes that the HID_DG_INPUTMODE
usage is always located in the first field (field[0]) of the feature report.
However, a device can specify HID_DG_INPUTMODE in a different field.
If HID_DG_INPUTMODE is in a field other than the first one and the first
field has a report_count smaller than the usage_index of HID_DG_INPUTMODE,
this leads to an out-of-bounds write to r->field[0]->value.
Fix this by storing the field index of HID_DG_INPUTMODE in 'struct
hid_data' during feature mapping. In wacom_hid_set_device_mode(), use
this stored field index to access the correct field and add bounds
checks to ensure both the field index and the value index are within
valid ranges before writing. |
| An out-of-bounds write vulnerability in the Qt Framework assimp scene import plugin of the Qt3D module. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
usb: typec: tcpm: bound altmode_desc[] per iteration in svdm_consume_modes()
svdm_consume_modes() checks pmdata->altmodes against the array size once
before the loop over the count, but forgot to check the bound at every
point in the loop.
In the well-behaved SVDM discovery flow this is harmless because each of
at most SVID_DISCOVERY_MAX SVIDs contributes at most MODE_DISCOVERY_MAX
modes, exactly filling altmode_desc[ALTMODE_DISCOVERY_MAX]. But the
CMDT_RSP_ACK handler in tcpm_pd_svdm() does not correlate an incoming
ACK with any request the port actually sent. Once port->partner is set,
an unsolicited Discover Modes ACK is consumed unconditionally. A broken
or malicious port partner can therefore drive altmodes to
ALTMODE_DISCOVERY_MAX - 1 via the normal flow, and then send one extra
Discover Modes ACK with seven VDOs. Because the pre-loop check passes,
the loop could then writes up to five entries past altmode_desc[]. For
mode_data_prime the next field in struct tcpm_port is the
partner_altmode[] pointer array, which then receives partner-chosen
SVID/VDO bytes.
Move the bound check inside the loop so the array can never be indexed
past ALTMODE_DISCOVERY_MAX regardless of how many VDOs the partner
supplies or how the function was reached. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
iio: imu: st_lsm6dsx: fix stack leak in tagged FIFO buffer
The tagged FIFO path declares iio_buff on the stack with __aligned(8)
but no initializer, but there is a hole in the structure, which will
then leak to userspace as ST_LSM6DSX_SAMPLE_SIZE bytes (6) will be
copied, but the space between that and the timestamp are not
initialized.
Commit c14edb4d0bdc ("iio:imu:st_lsm6dsx Fix alignment and data leak
issues") moved the untagged FIFO path to a kzalloc'd buffer in hw->scan,
but for the tagged path it only added the alignment qualifier and not
the initializer :(
Fix this by just zero-initializing the structure on the stack. |
| SQLite before 3.54.0 built with the session extension contains a heap buffer overflow vulnerability in sqlite3changeset_apply() that allows attackers to corrupt heap memory by supplying crafted changesets. Attackers can repeat a table name in a second changeset block with a larger column count, causing sessionUpdateFind() to memset past the undersized aUpdateMask allocation. |
| A flaw was found in GCC. An out-of-bounds memory access vulnerability exists in the libstdc++ parallel search implementation due to an undersized internal buffer. A local attacker can exploit this flaw by providing crafted search data to an application compiled with parallel mode, causing the process to crash and leading to a Denial of Service (DoS). |
| SQLite before 3.54.0 built with FTS5 contains a heap buffer overflow in fts5DoSecureDelete() that allows attackers to write past the leaf page buffer via crafted footer key offsets. Attackers can supply a database file with a corrupted FTS5 index that, when deleted from with secure-delete enabled, corrupts heap memory and crashes the application. |
| snappy-java is a Java port of the snappy, a fast C++ compresser/decompresser developed by Google. Prior to 1.1.10.9, Snappy.arrayCopy(Object src, int offset, int byteLength, Object dest, int destOffset) passes caller-supplied ranges to native memcpy without validating either array, allowing negative or oversized byteLength and offset values to read or write outside array bounds and crash the JVM. SnappyOutputStream.rawWrite and SnappyInputStream.rawRead, including their typed-array write and read methods, pass caller-controlled ranges through this primitive, and typed-array byte-size calculations can overflow int. This issue is fixed in version 1.1.10.9. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
USB: serial: mct_u232: fix memory corruption with small endpoint
The driver overrides the maximum transfer size for a specific device
which only accepts 16 byte packets for its 32 byte bulk-out endpoint.
Make sure to never increase the maximum transfer size to prevent slab
corruption should a malicious device report a smaller endpoint max
packet size than expected. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
USB: serial: mxuport: fix memory corruption with small endpoint
Make sure that the bulk-out endpoint max packet size is at least eight
bytes to avoid user-controlled slab corruption should a malicious device
report a smaller size. |
