| CVE-2026-99136 | 1 Linux | 2 Linux, Linux Kernel | 2026-10-31 | 7 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm-crypt: fix a tiny race condition in crypt_dec_pending crypt_dec_pending reads io->error before calling atomic_dec_and_test. Another context, for example crypt_endio called from an interrupt, may set io->error and drop its reference between the read and the decrement. crypt_dec_pending then drops the last reference and completes the bio with the stale status - so a read that failed and was never decrypted, or a write that failed, is reported as successful. The read was placed before the decrement by commit b35f8caa0890 ("dm crypt: wait for endio to complete before destruction"), because that commit freed dm_crypt_io before calling bio_endio. This is no longer the case, dm_crypt_io lives in the per-bio data now. Read io->error after atomic_dec_and_test instead. atomic_dec_and_test is fully ordered, so no additional barrier is needed. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfs: fix capability check in xfs An user reported a bug where he managed to evade group's quota by changing a file's gid to a different group id the same user belonged to, even though quotas were enforced on both gids and the file's size was big enough to exceed the quota's hardlimit. Commit eba0549bc7d1 replaced a capable() call by a has_capability_noaudit() to prevent unnecessary selinux audit messages. Turns out that both calls have slightly different semantics even though their documentation seems similar. Where in a nutshell: capable() - Tests the task's effective credentials has_ns_capability_noaudit() - Tests the task's real credentials This most of the time has no practical difference but in some cases like changing attrs (specifically group id in this case) through a NFS client this will allow the quota code to use XFS_QMOPT_FORCE_RES, effectively bypassing quota accounting checks. Using instead ns_capable_noaudit() should fix this issue and prevent selinux audit messages. This also fix the remaining calls to has_capability_noaudit() | ||||
| CVE-2026-99123 | 1 Linux | 2 Linux, Linux Kernel | 2026-10-31 | 7.1 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vsock/virtio: validate packet source for connected sockets virtio_transport_recv_pkt() looks up sockets first by the full source and destination tuple, then by destination only in the bound table. The fallback is needed for listening and connecting sockets, but sockets remain in the bound table after connect(), so it can also return a non-listening socket. The fallback does not validate the source address. In TCP_SYN_SENT, a RESPONSE from an unrelated source can transition the victim socket to TCP_ESTABLISHED while its stored remote address remains unchanged. Subsequent RW packets from that source are delivered through the same destination-only fallback. This was reproduced with capability-empty processes under different UIDs. The attacker discovered the target tuple through unprivileged AF_VSOCK sock_diag and caused the victim socket to read 16 attacker-chosen bytes; the intended peer-side socket read 0 of those 16 bytes. Add vsock_check_source() to validate the transport, source port and source CID against the peer stored in a non-listening socket. The local transport is the CID exception because its packets are generated internally with VMADDR_CID_LOCAL as their source, including connections using CID aliases. Use the helper after lock_sock() in the virtio receive path. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: bridge: mcast: don't truncate the port group walk on teardown __br_multicast_disable_port_ctx() and br_multicast_del_port() walk port->mglist with hlist_for_each_entry_safe(). However, br_multicast_find_del_pg() can also delete other entries from the same list through br_multicast_fwd_src_remove() or __fwd_del_star_excl(). If such an entry is the iterator's saved next node, hlist_del_init() clears its ->next and terminates the walk early. The reproducer triggers this in both teardown walks, leaving port groups in the bridge mdb with a dangling ->key.port after del_nbp() frees the port: BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in __mdb_fill_info+0x1191/0x1320 __mdb_fill_info+0x1191/0x1320 br_mdb_dump+0x594/0xe40 rtnl_mdb_dump+0x1cf/0x5d0 Use hlist_del_init_rcu() to unlink the group while preserving ->next. br_multicast_del_pg() and the teardown walks run under br->multicast_lock. The GC worker must acquire the same lock before detaching the group for destruction, so the node remains alive while the walk uses the preserved pointer. Preserving ->next means a walk can now reach a group that an earlier iteration already deleted as a side effect. That group is off mp->ports, so br_multicast_find_del_pg() would fall through its port scan and hit the trailing WARN_ON(1). Skip such groups at the top of that helper: a port group is put on port->mglist when it is created and only unlinked when it is deleted, so hlist_unhashed() identifies exactly this case. | ||||
| CVE-2026-99116 | 1 Linux | 2 Linux, Linux Kernel | 2026-10-31 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: psp: do not inherit the Rx association on clone sk->psp_assoc sits past sk_dontcopy_end, so sock_copy() copies it into every socket accepted from a listener without taking a reference, while inet_sock_destruct() puts for every inet socket. psp_twsk_init() does refcount_inc() for the timewait socket, so a child closing through TIME_WAIT cancels its own put and leaves the association with one reference and N timewait sockets holding the same pointer. Closing the listener frees it, and the timewait timers then put freed memory. Rejecting the association on a listening socket is not sufficient: a socket can acquire one while established and then be turned back into a listener, because tcp_disconnect() leaves sk->psp_assoc in place. BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in psp_twsk_assoc_free+0x6f/0xf0 Write of size 4 at addr ffff888110f9255c by task swapper/7/0 psp_twsk_assoc_free+0x6f/0xf0 inet_twsk_put+0xda/0x1b0 call_timer_fn+0x53/0x2e0 __run_timers+0x764/0xa80 Freed by task 99: kfree+0x1a7/0x500 process_one_work+0x7ec/0x1100 An association carries a per-connection SPI and key, so a child must not inherit the parent's. | CVE-2026-99112 | 1 Linux | 2 Linux, Linux Kernel | 2026-10-31 | 7.1 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: cls_flower: validate mask pointer after nla_next() fl_set_enc_opt() iterates the key's nested tunnel-option attributes with nla_for_each_attr() while advancing a single mask pointer via nla_next() at the bottom of each loop, so the mask cursor is driven by the number of key attributes rather than by the mask's own attributes. The nla_ok() added by commit c96adff956191 ("cls_flower: call nla_ok() before nla_next()") only validates the mask pointer that was just consumed; the pointer produced by nla_next() is used by the next iteration (fl_set_geneve_opt() and siblings) without any validation. The mask's nested attributes are validated with NL_VALIDATE_LIBERAL, which merely warns on trailing bytes that do not form a complete attribute. A mask carrying one valid attribute plus 1-3 residue bytes (or a non-aligned attribute length making msk_depth negative) therefore reaches the next iteration with msk_depth != 0, so neither the !msk_depth check in fl_set_enc_opt() nor the !depth check in the per-type helpers fires. nla_type() then reads past the mask payload and nla_parse_nested_deprecated() iterates with an nla_len taken from those bytes, reading well beyond the mask attribute (KASAN: slab-out-of-bounds read in __nla_validate_parse from fl_change()). Validate the advanced mask pointer as well: when the mask is not legitimately exhausted (msk_depth != 0) and the new pointer fails nla_ok(), reject the filter with -EINVAL. An exactly exhausted mask still skips the check, preserving exact-match behaviour for the remaining key attributes. | ||||
| CVE-2026-99107 | 1 Linux | 2 Linux, Linux Kernel | 2026-10-31 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ntfs: fix incorrect MFT record pointer passed to ntfs_attr_record_resize ntfs_new_attr_flags() passes the wrong MFT record to ntfs_attr_record_resize(). When the attribute is in an extent record, ctx->mrec points to the extent but the function receives the base record pointer m, causing incorrect size calculations in memmove. Fix by passing ctx->mrec (the actual MFT record containing the attribute) instead of m (the base MFT record) to ntfs_attr_record_resize(). | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: x86/CPU/AMD: Fix AMD TLBI Erratum #1718 The processor may fail to invalidate a TLB entry while executing an INVLPGB/TLBSYNC instruction pair. | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: btintel_pcie: fix TX descriptor bounds check btintel_pcie_prepare_tx() uses tfd_index to access the TFD and data buffer arrays before the index is advanced modulo txq->count. An index equal to txq->count is one past the end of both arrays, so reject it in the bounds check. | ||||
| CVE-2026-99018 | 1 Linux | 2 Linux, Linux Kernel | 2026-10-31 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: riscv: entry: gate shadow call stack reload on sstatus.SPP, not tp Under CONFIG_SHADOW_CALL_STACK, handle_exception() reloads the kernel shadow call stack pointer (gp) only when the trap came from userspace. It made that decision with scs_load_current_if_task_changed, which compares the trap-time tp (read back from sscratch into s5) against the current tp: beq \prev, tp, _skip_scs scs_load_current _skip_scs: tp is a user-writable register. A user task that sets tp to the linear-map address of its own task_struct (¤t) before trapping makes the comparison succeed (can achieve by brute force with KASLR enable under our test), so the kernel skips scs_load_current and keeps running with the gp that userspace left in place. Under CONFIG_SHADOW_CALL_STACK gp is the shadow call stack pointer and load_global_pointer is a no-op, so the compiler-emitted "sd ra, -8(gp)" / "ld ra, -8(gp)" in every non-leaf function then write to, and return through, an attacker-controlled address -- an unprivileged kernel arbitrary-write and control-flow-hijack primitive. The poisoned gp is saved to task_struct.scs_sp on return, so the reload is skipped on every subsequent entry as well. Decide "came from userspace" from the hardware sstatus.SPP bit (already in s1 at this point) instead of from tp, mirroring the check that ret_from_exception already uses a few instructions later. SPP is written by hardware on trap entry and cannot be forged from U-mode. Legitimate behaviour is unchanged: user entries (SPP=0) reload the task shadow call stack, nested kernel entries (SPP=1) skip it. | ||||
| CVE-2026-63912 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-30 | 9.8 Critical |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfrm: esp: restore combined single-frag length gate The ESP out-of-place fast path appends the trailer in esp_output_head() before esp_output_tail() allocates the destination page frag. The head-side gate currently checks skb->data_len and tailen separately, but the tail code allocates a single destination frag from the combined post-trailer skb->data_len. Reject the page-frag fast path when the combined aligned length exceeds a page. Otherwise skb_page_frag_refill() may fall back to a single page while the destination sg still spans the combined skb->data_len. Restore this combined-length page gate for both IPv4 and IPv6. | ||||
| CVE-2026-63913 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-30 | 8.2 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: conntrack: tcp: do not force CLOSE on invalid-seq RST without direction check An unintended behavior in the TCP conntrack state machine allows a connection to be forced into the CLOSE state using an RST packet with an invalid sequence number. Specifically, after a SYN packet is observed, an RST with an invalid SEQ can transition the conntrack entry to TCP_CONNTRACK_CLOSE, regardless of whether the RST corresponds to the expected reply direction. The relevant code path assumes the RST is a response to an outgoing SYN, but does not validate packet direction or ensure that a matching SYN was actually sent in the opposite direction. As a result, a crafted packet sequence consisting of a SYN followed by an invalid-sequence RST can prematurely terminate an active NAT entry. This makes connection teardown easier than intended. So, tighten the state transition logic to ensure that RST-triggered CLOSE transitions only occur when the RST is a valid response to a previously observed SYN in the correct direction. | ||||
| CVE-2026-63914 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-30 | 7.3 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfrm: route MIGRATE notifications to caller's netns xfrm_send_migrate() in net/xfrm/xfrm_user.c and pfkey_send_migrate() in net/key/af_key.c both hardcode &init_net for the multicast that announces a successful XFRM_MSG_MIGRATE / SADB_X_MIGRATE. XFRM_MSG_MIGRATE arrives on a per-netns NETLINK_XFRM socket, and the rest of the xfrm/af_key netlink path was made netns-aware in 2008. The other 14 multicast paths in xfrm_user.c route their event using xs_net(x), xp_net(xp) or sock_net(skb->sk); only the migrate path was missed. Two consequences of the init_net hardcoding: 1. The notification (selector, old/new endpoint addresses, and the km_address) is delivered to listeners on init_net's XFRMNLGRP_MIGRATE / pfkey BROADCAST_ALL groups rather than on the issuing netns. An IKE daemon running in init_net therefore receives migration notifications originating from any other netns on the host. 2. An IKE daemon running inside a non-init netns and subscribed to its own XFRMNLGRP_MIGRATE / pfkey groups never receives the notification of its own migration. IKEv2 MOBIKE / address-update handling inside a netns is silently broken. Thread struct net through km_migrate() and the xfrm_mgr.migrate function pointer, drop the &init_net override in xfrm_send_migrate() and pfkey_send_migrate(), and pass the caller's net (already in scope in xfrm_migrate() via sock_net(skb->sk)) all the way down. struct xfrm_mgr is in-tree only and not exported as a stable API, so the function-pointer signature change is internal. pfkey_broadcast() is already netns-aware via net_generic(net, pfkey_net_id) since the pernet conversion. The five other pfkey_broadcast() callers in af_key.c already pass xs_net(x), sock_net(sk) or a per-netns net, so this only removes the &init_net outlier. | ||||
| CVE-2026-63915 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-30 | 8.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfc: hci: fix out-of-bounds read in HCP header parsing Both nfc_hci_recv_from_llc() and nci_hci_data_received_cb() read packet->header from skb->data at function entry without first checking that the buffer holds at least one byte. A malicious NFC peer can send a 0-byte HCP frame that passes through the SHDLC layer and reaches these functions, causing an out-of-bounds heap read of packet->header. The same 0-byte frame, if queued as a non-final fragment, also causes the reassembly loop to underflow msg_len to UINT_MAX, triggering skb_over_panic() when the reassembled skb is written. Fix this by adding a pskb_may_pull() check at the entry of each function before packet->header is first accessed. The existing pskb_may_pull() checks before the reassembled hcp_skb is cast to struct hcp_packet remain in place to guard the 2-byte HCP message header. | ||||
| CVE-2026-63916 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-30 | 8.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HID: wacom: Fix OOB write in wacom_hid_set_device_mode() wacom_hid_set_device_mode() currently assumes that the HID_DG_INPUTMODE usage is always located in the first field (field[0]) of the feature report. However, a device can specify HID_DG_INPUTMODE in a different field. If HID_DG_INPUTMODE is in a field other than the first one and the first field has a report_count smaller than the usage_index of HID_DG_INPUTMODE, this leads to an out-of-bounds write to r->field[0]->value. Fix this by storing the field index of HID_DG_INPUTMODE in 'struct hid_data' during feature mapping. In wacom_hid_set_device_mode(), use this stored field index to access the correct field and add bounds checks to ensure both the field index and the value index are within valid ranges before writing. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ip6: vti: Use ip6_tnl.net in vti6_changelink(). ip netns add ns1 ip netns add ns2 ip -n ns1 link add vti6_test type vti6 remote ::1 local ::2 key 7 ip -n ns1 link set vti6_test netns ns2 ip -n ns2 link set vti6_test type vti6 remote ::3 local ::4 key 9 ip netns del ns2 ip netns del ns1 [ 132.495484] ------------[ cut here ]------------ [ 132.497609] kernel BUG at net/core/dev.c:12376! Commit 61220ab34948 ("vti6: Enable namespace changing") dropped NETIF_F_NETNS_LOCAL from vti6 devices. A vti6 tunnel can then move through IFLA_NET_NS_FD. After the move dev_net(dev) points at the new netns while t->net stays at the creation netns. vti6_changelink() and vti6_update() still use dev_net(dev) and dev_net(t->dev). They unlink from one per netns hash and relink into another. The creation netns is left with a stale entry. cleanup_net() of that netns later walks freed memory. Reachable from an unprivileged user namespace (unshare --user --map-root-user --net). Cross tenant scope on container hosts. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: typec: tcpm: validate VDO count in Discover Identity ACK handlers Properly validate the count passed from a device when calling svdm_consume_identity() or svdm_consume_identity_sop_prime() as the device-controlled value could index off of the static arrays, which could leak data. | ||||
| CVE-2026-63962 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-30 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: typec: tcpm: bound altmode_desc[] per iteration in svdm_consume_modes() svdm_consume_modes() checks pmdata->altmodes against the array size once before the loop over the count, but forgot to check the bound at every point in the loop. In the well-behaved SVDM discovery flow this is harmless because each of at most SVID_DISCOVERY_MAX SVIDs contributes at most MODE_DISCOVERY_MAX modes, exactly filling altmode_desc[ALTMODE_DISCOVERY_MAX]. But the CMDT_RSP_ACK handler in tcpm_pd_svdm() does not correlate an incoming ACK with any request the port actually sent. Once port->partner is set, an unsolicited Discover Modes ACK is consumed unconditionally. A broken or malicious port partner can therefore drive altmodes to ALTMODE_DISCOVERY_MAX - 1 via the normal flow, and then send one extra Discover Modes ACK with seven VDOs. Because the pre-loop check passes, the loop could then writes up to five entries past altmode_desc[]. For mode_data_prime the next field in struct tcpm_port is the partner_altmode[] pointer array, which then receives partner-chosen SVID/VDO bytes. Move the bound check inside the loop so the array can never be indexed past ALTMODE_DISCOVERY_MAX regardless of how many VDOs the partner supplies or how the function was reached. | ||||
| CVE-2026-63964 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-30 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: typec: ucsi: ccg: reject firmware images without a ':' record header do_flash() locates the first .cyacd record with p = strnchr(fw->data, fw->size, ':'); while (p < eof) { s = strnchr(p + 1, eof - p - 1, ':'); ... } If the firmware image contains no ':' byte, strnchr() returns NULL. NULL compares less than the valid kernel pointer eof, so the loop body runs and strnchr() is called with p + 1 == (void *)1 and a length of roughly (unsigned long)eof, causing a wonderful crash. The not_signed_fw fallthrough earlier in do_flash() and the chip-state branches in ccg_fw_update_needed() allow an unsigned blob to reach this loop, so a root user who can place a crafted file under /lib/firmware and write the do_flash sysfs attribute can trigger the oops. Bail out with -EINVAL when the initial strnchr() returns NULL. | ||||
| CVE-2026-63965 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-30 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: pressure: bmp280: fix stack leak in bmp580 trigger handler bmp580_trigger_handler() declares its scan buffer on the stack without an initializer and then memcpy()s 3 bytes of 24-bit sensor data into each 4-byte __le32 field. The high byte of comp_temp and comp_press is left uninitialized, and the channel storagebits is 32, so two bytes of stack are pushed to userspace per scan. This is a regression from when the buffer lived in the private data, the move to a stack-local struct dropped the implicit zeroing. bme280_trigger_handler() was fixed up to handle this bug, but this driver was not fixed because there was no padding hole, but rather a short-fill issue. Fix this all by just zero-initializing the structure on the stack. | ||||
