CVSS v3.1 |
| The Ak Framework plugin for WordPress, included in the Newsy - Viral News & Magazine WordPress Theme, is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 2.9.8. This is due to missing capability checks in the ajax_refresh_nonce and ak_admin_ajax handlers before passing attacker-controlled option names and values to update_option(). This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to update arbitrary WordPress options including users_can_register and default_role to escalate privileges to administrator by enabling user registration with administrator as the default role. |
| A flaw was found in Grinder, a component of Red Hat CloudForms. This vulnerability allows a local user to modify Grinder's cache files due to incorrect world-writable permissions set on the `/var/lib/pulp/cache/grinder/` directory. This could lead to unauthorized data tampering within the application's cache. |
| A flaw was found in FreeIPA. When a trust relationship is configured between FreeIPA and Active Directory, Active Directory users can bypass authentication for FreeIPA services, including the portal, SMB server, and LDAP directory. This is possible by impersonating a client name in the Ticket Granting Service (TGS) due to FreeIPA services not verifying Privilege Attribute Certificate (PAC) certificates. This vulnerability could allow an authenticated Active Directory user to escalate their privileges within the FreeIPA domain. |
| Subscriber Privilege Escalation in WP BASE Booking <= 6.5.2 versions. |
| Contributor Privilege Escalation in Profile Builder <= 4.0.5 versions. |
| A flaw was found in PackStack. A local user could exploit a symlink attack on a temporary file with a predictable name in the `/tmp` directory. This vulnerability allows the local user to overwrite arbitrary files on the system, potentially leading to system compromise or data corruption. |
| A flaw was found in JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP) and EC2 Amazon Machine Image (AMI). Incorrect permissions (755) for the /var/cache/jboss-ec2-eap/ directory allow a local user to read sensitive files. This vulnerability can lead to information disclosure, specifically exposing Amazon Web Services (AWS) credentials. |
| Vulnerability in the Oracle SOA Suite product of Oracle Fusion Middleware (component: Fabric Layer). Supported versions that are affected are 12.2.1.4.0 and 14.1.2.0.0. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows low privileged attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle SOA Suite. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all Oracle SOA Suite accessible data as well as unauthorized update, insert or delete access to some of Oracle SOA Suite accessible data. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 7.1 (Confidentiality and Integrity impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:L/A:N). |
| A vulnerability was found in `podman build` and `buildah.` This issue occurs in a container breakout by using --jobs=2 and a race condition when building a malicious Containerfile. SELinux might mitigate it, but even with SELinux on, it still allows the enumeration of files and directories on the host. |
| Dell OpenManage Enterprise, versions prior to 4.8.0, contains an Improper Privilege Management vulnerability. A low privileged attacker with local access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to Elevation of privileges. |
| This issue was addressed with improved access restrictions. This issue is fixed in macOS Golden Gate 27.2. Unpacking a maliciously crafted archive may lead to unexpected app termination or arbitrary code execution. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
perf: Require kernel access for text poke events
Perf events with exclude_kernel=1 can be opened without kernel perf
access. However, exclude_kernel does not suppress text-poke sideband
records. Every PERF_RECORD_TEXT_POKE is marked PERF_RECORD_MISC_KERNEL
and contains a raw kernel instruction address.
An unprivileged task can therefore open and mmap a task-local software
event with text_poke=1. Both opening a count-only tracepoint event and
configuring UDP GRO for ESP-in-UDP cause updates to inline static calls;
the observer receives the relocated addresses of the modified instructions.
For a known kernel image, any such address reveals the runtime kernel
text base despite KASLR.
Call perf_allow_kernel() whenever attr.text_poke is set, regardless of
exclude_kernel. Events that neither monitor kernel execution nor request
text-poke records retain their existing permissions. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ksmbd: fix maximum allowed access checks
The DACL permission check looks for an ACE matching the current user and
falls back to the Everyone ACE. It does not consider an Authenticated
Users ACE, even though an authenticated session is a member of that
well-known group.
As a result, opening a file whose access is granted through S-1-5-11 can
incorrectly fail with STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED. Treat an Authenticated Users
ACE as a fallback entry alongside Everyone.
The maximal access calculation also combines access masks from every ACE,
regardless of whether its SID applies to the current user. This can grant
rights belonging to an unrelated principal. Process only ACEs applying to
the user, Everyone, or Authenticated Users, and accumulate allowed and
denied masks in ACL order. Preserve explicitly requested access bits so
they are validated against the resulting maximal mask.
When ACCESS_SYSTEM_SECURITY is denied, report STATUS_PRIVILEGE_NOT_HELD
instead of the generic STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED. Access to the system ACL
requires a security privilege that ksmbd does not grant.
For regular files, include FILE_EXECUTE in maximal access when the client
requested GENERIC_EXECUTE and the DACL grants the complete file-read set.
Keep a direct FILE_EXECUTE request subject to the explicit DACL bit. This
matches the POSIX file ACL mapping without broadening specific execute
requests.
Do not replace rights from an applicable NT ACE with a POSIX ACL entry.
The POSIX ACL is only a fallback when no user, Everyone, or Authenticated
Users ACE applies; otherwise it can incorrectly broaden the stored DACL.
This fixes smb2.maximum_allowed.maximum_allowed. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
nfsd: gate nfs2 setacl by argp->mask
The NFSACL v2 SETACL path shares the decoder convention used by its
v3 sibling: nfsaclsvc_decode_setaclargs() fills in argp->acl_access
only when NFS_ACL is set in the request mask and argp->acl_default
only when NFS_DFACL is set, leaving the other pointer NULL because
the argument buffer is zeroed up to pc_argzero before decode.
nfsacld_proc_setacl() then hands both pointers to set_posix_acl()
unconditionally. set_posix_acl(idmap, dentry, type, NULL) is the VFS
"remove this ACL type" operation, so an omitted arm is
indistinguishable from an explicit request to delete that ACL. A
SETACL carrying only NFS_ACL silently strips the directory's default
ACL; mask=0 strips both.
This is the same defect just fixed in nfsd3_proc_setacl(); apply the
same remedy. Gate each set_posix_acl() call on its mask bit and
initialize error to 0 so that a request with neither bit set leaves
the on-disk ACLs untouched and returns success. The out_drop_lock
path and the unconditional posix_acl_release() in
nfsaclsvc_release_setacl() already tolerate the skipped arms. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ovl: check access to copy_file_range source with src mounter creds
Commit 5dae222a5ff0c ("vfs: allow copy_file_range to copy across devices")
allowed filesystems that implement the copy_file_range() f_op to decide
if they want to access cross-sb copy from/to the same fs type.
The same commit added checks to verify same sb copy for filesystems that
implement ->copy_file_range() and do not support cross-sb copy at the
time, namely, to ceph, fuse and nfs.
The two remaining fs which implement ->copy_file_range(), cifs and
overlayfs started to support cross-sb copy from this time.
While overlayfs does support cross-sb copy when the two underlying files
are on the same base fs, the copy operation on the two real files from
two different overalyfs filesystems is performed with the mounter
creds of the destination overlayfs and the read permission access hook
for the source file was called with the wrong creds.
This could cause either deny of access to copy which would otherwise be
allowed (e.g. with splice) or allow read access to file which would
otherwise be denied.
Fix the latter case by explicitly verifying read access to source file
with the source overlayfs mounter creds.
The former case remains a quirk of cross-sb overlayfs copy, but
userspace could fall back to regular copy so no harm done. |
| The `insights-operator-gather` ClusterRole grants the operator's service account read access to secrets in the core API group with no namespace or resourceNames restriction — therefore, access to every secret in every namespace in the cluster.
Ref: https://github.com/openshift/insights-operator/blob/8f15e3157ff09f54ab22801f5b21da35a195cc6d/manifests/03-clusterrole.yaml#L368-L373
```
- apiGroups:
- ""
resources:
- secrets
verbs:
- get
- list
```
By spawning a pod with the gather service account mounted, an attacker will be able to access any secret in any namespace.

| A security vulnerability has been detected in HeyCyan App 1.0.103 on Android. Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown functionality of the component FileProvider. The manipulation leads to improper access controls. The attack may be initiated remotely. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. |
| Kimai (kimai/kimai) before 2.65.0 contains a business logic / improper authorization vulnerability in the default team creation endpoints. An authenticated user with project permission-management privileges can create or use a customer, project, or activity whose name matches an existing team; because the endpoints POST /api/customers/{id}/team, POST /api/projects/{id}/team, and POST /api/activities/{id}/team reuse an existing team of the same name and add the current user as teamlead without verifying that the user is authorized to manage that team, the attacker gains unauthorized team-lead (administration) rights over the existing team. Fixed in 2.65.0. |
| CodeWhale versions >= 0.3.10 and < 0.8.64 (published as deepseek-tui >= 0.3.10 and < 0.8.41 on npm and 0.3.10 through 0.8.41 on crates.io, and as codewhale / codewhale-tui >= 0.8.41 and < 0.8.64) contain a vulnerability in the exec_shell_interact (alias exec_interact) tool, whose approval_requirement returns ApprovalRequirement::Auto. This overrides the default Required approval for code-executing tools, so LLM-controlled stdin is written into an already-approved long-running interactive shell (e.g., a python3 -i REPL, mysql, ssh, or sudo -i session) without any approval prompt. An attacker who can inject instructions via untrusted content the agent ingests (a fetched page, MCP result, or repo file) can cause commands to run at the privilege level of that approved process. Fixed in codewhale / codewhale-tui 0.8.64; the deprecated deepseek-tui crate has no fixed release. |
| The getgrav/grav-plugin-api plugin before 1.0.13 fails to validate that the scopes of a newly created API key are a subset of the caller's scopes in createApiKey. The self-target path of requireApiKeyPermission() requires only the baseline api.access scope, and the new key's scopes are read directly from the request body with no subset check. An attacker holding a minimal-scope API key on a super account can submit an empty scopes array to mint an unscoped, full-access super key, bypassing scope restrictions (and enabling further chains such as configuration write to RCE). |
